Beckwith Family Photographs The houses are in the Fourth Ward on the East side of Patterson St. and between 100 and 200 yards South of Benson Street. The children are from back to front: Genivieve, Carlyle, Leland, and Bennett Murl (Pete) Coons. they are the children of Frank and Anna (Callahan) Coons. they are in the driveway of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Callahan. Mr. Callahan had been a lumberman and was in charge of the service station at Dow. Mrs. Callahan was the grand daughter of Ahira Sinclair who came to Midland from Dover, Maine in 1869. Harriett and Ahira are the ancestors of many Midland families, including Harts, hardys, Sinclairs, Towsleys, Beckwiths, Stanfords and many others. |
