Keyword Search

This online archive makes available the archival holdings of the Midland County Historical Society located in Midland, Michigan and includes photographs, documents and finding aids.
The online database is an ongoing project with new records added monthly.

Search across the database for archival documents, finding aids and photographs using keywords or phrases. Keyword searches use OR as a default connector between words, (e.g. a search for Dow Chemical will return results for Dow OR Chemical.) Use Boolean searches with the word AND between terms for broad keyword searches with both terms. To narrow the search use quotes (e.g. "Dow Chemical"). You can also use the asterisk (*) as a wildcard (e.g. a search for histor* would come up with records containing history, histories, historical, etc.). Searches are not case sensitive.
If your search is unsuccessful, try searching in Advanced Search using the search term field to search for specific locations, businesses or schools.
