Description |
Construction of the Midland Post Office was done by the Langlois Construction Company Photograph was taken on December 26, 1939 of the footing for column # 5 of the building The note on the back of the photograph reads: Footing 7'-0" square x 24" thick. Bottom is 3'-1" below basement floor. Soil is stratified clay. Note sloughing of walls due to freezing where not protected by straw. Dowels should be placed before footing is poured. Otherwise, satisfactory. |
