Born in Alma Michigan, Kenneth W. Lybolt moved to Midland in 1937 working for the Cassidy Theater chain. Ken Lybolt first worked for the city of Midland in 1949 as purchasing agent and deputy city clerk. He was appointed city clerk in 1949, serving as city clerk until his retirment in 1978. As city clerk Ken Lybolt oversaw the first fully computerized election in the nation in 1965. |
