Description Postcard photograph of Union School (also known as Midland High School and Central High School), before and after it was destroyed by fire on October 21, 1908. The school was located at the foot of McDonald Street where Grove Park is currently, built in 1872 as Midland's first K-12 school.

Written on the back: "Dear Laure- Well it is Christmas what do you want for Christmas. I get [sic] you card I never new [sic] you would send me card. Well goodby, dad"
