Postcard photograph of the old wooden Benson Street covered bridge, on Benson St. at Main St. The bridge was built in 1870 and destroyed by ice flows during a flood on January 20,1907.
Written on back: "Dear Lon.- I was so glad to hear from you. It is too bad about the fires and I hope you have had rain. We have not but the fire is not as bad as it was a week ago. I have not seen Emma since her return. Hope to see her soon - are[?] canning and pickling. Write soon. K.C.C."
